What to Expect

Your first visit to the Marriage Counseling Center will give us a chance to get to know more about you and your specific needs as a client. We will spend some time collecting general information for your records such as insurance and billing information for our files. This information can also be filled out on our online client forms prior to your office visit to help save you some time on the day of your appointment.

Kathleen J Karnoff, PhD., our Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) will then begin your session by introducing herself and allowing you to speak freely about yourself and your specific situation. This will assist her in evaluating a course of action for your future counseling sessions. If you are seeking couples or marriage counseling, we request that you both come to the first session to maintain an equal level of communication with Kathleen. We will ensure that all of your sessions will be private and confidential to ensure your safety and comfort.
